Welcome to the ANSHS Bottle School Project Site!

Our Inspiration

This project aims to build a school building out of discarded PET bottles, usually utilized as softdrink bottles.

There is a need for more school buildings to house the growing population of Alabel National Science High School (ANSHS).

Discarded softdrink bottles abound in the locality, which add to the world’s burgeoning problem on non-biodegradable waste.

As an institution that offers science education, we must lead and exemplify scientific ways of helping solve environmental problems.

There exist exemplars of bottle school project in other parts of the country and the world like those organized by Hug It Forward in Guatemala and by My Shelter Foundation in the Philippines.

With these in mind, we resolved to organize a bottle school project in Alabel National Science High School under the leadership of the ANSHS Alumni Association in cooperation with the Junior Ecologist Ministers for Mother Earth (JEM).
