April is declared as the Earth Month. Various activities related to environmental causes are organized by different organizations around the country.
The Alabel National Science High School Alumni Association and the Junior Ecologist Ministers for Mother Earth take part in the celebration of the Earth Month by conducting a Fun Run, advocating environmental causes.
The proceeds of the activity will be donated to the ANSHS Bottle School Project.
OBJECTIVES
- To raise awareness of the youth and the community on environmental conservation and protection;
- To promote the importance of physical fitness; and
- To raise funds for the ANSHS Bottle School Project
MECHANICS
- The Earth Day Fun Run is open to anybody who wishes to take part in an activity that promotes environmental conservation and protection and to all health and fitness enthusiasts.
- There will be three race categories: 3km, 5km, and 10km.
- Registration fee is pegged at P 25.00 per participant.
- Prizes per category are as follows:
- First Prize P 500.00 + Trophy from Gov. Migs Dominguez+ Php5,000 worth of 3D Animation Training from ACLC College GenSan
- Second Prize P 300.00 + Trophy from Gov. Migs Dominguez+ Php5,000 worth of 3D Animation Training from ACLC College GenSan
- Third prize P 200.00 + Trophy from Gov. Migs Dominguez+ Php5,000 worth of 3D Animation Training from ACLC College GenSan
- All participants will receive a certificate of participation after the race.
- All races will begin at the Alabel Municipal Grounds and will end at the ANSHS Campus.
- Participants will be transported back to the Poblacion after the race.
